Goodbye 2015

Posted by on December 21, 2015

Greetings fellow adventurers!

christmas tree 2015Sometimes adventuring kicks our butt. Physically. Mentally. What have you. Needless to say, we keep pressing on, right? That’s what makes us adventurers in this vast crazy thing called life.

And I’m over here trying to live a life balanced between reality and dreams. Do we ever find balance? Or perhaps I forget that balance is not without struggle and work, and I’ve yet to learn its secrets and embrace the struggle. Too philosophical for a Monday morning, eh?

Dang rabbit trails. Where was I?

Oh, right. I’ve not been able to string two coherent words together since National Novel Writing Month. (You have no idea how hard this post was to write. Ha!) I’m beginning to the think NaNo might not be my thing any more. Ha! Slow and steady wins the race, eh?

Anyways, it’s no surprise to many what time of the year it is. Here in our little bubble of the universe, the masses are gearing up to celebrate Christmas. Not that we don’t. We’re just very low-key with family living out of state and out of the country, you know.

bookmas treeSo, I’m going to take a break from pushing through this haze and catch up on my sleep. I mean spend quality time with my kiddos and the hubby, and refuel, refresh, and get ready to gear up for an awesome 2016.

And put my bookshelves back in order. My eye is starting to twitch. Ha!

Thank you all for adventuring with me. This year has been a blast! And I look forward to what the new year will bring. Eep!

Cover Reveal ……………….January 25th 2016
Darkened Hope ……………May 2016
Rewrites of book III
And maybe another short story.

Happy Christmas!

The kids decided to name our vehicle Ms. Hedwig. And just to confirm her name, the license plates came in bearing the initials of one of Harry’s friends. Boom. Ha!

How are you all spending the next two weeks?

I hear you on the balance aspect. It’s hard to find any quiet time when you have a young family. We’re having a quiet holiday, too–no big events, nothing too special (I might make some wassail). 🙂

Too true. Or if said human was a bit OCD-type-A-personality and doesn’t realize her limits until she is over extended or that breaks are a good thing. Ha!

Wassail sounds fun. Someone gave us a bag of pecans so I am thinking I’ll attempt some candied/cinnamon & sugar pecans. Had them once. So good! Quiet holidays are good. With life is so busy and being pulled in so many different directions, it is nice to step back, refuel, and get the priorities sorted.

      Thanks for stopping by!

My holiday will be pretty much like yours – I need the rest! All the best, and see you in 2016.

I love hearing from you!
