Happy Friday y’all!
Last night’s Facebook Party was amazing. Thank you to each and everyone of you who were able to come hang with us.
I’ll be honest. I was dragging my feet. Between my awesome-very-thankful freelance project and writing and parenting with two kids in school now, I have been…processing. Ha! I have had to cut way back on my social media interactions and commitments, because I just don’t have room in my brain for all those marbles. My brain feels like its tearing rather than stretching. I’m looking into it. Ha! THAT said, I have so missed blogging and interacting with you all. I hope to one day get back to doing that on a regular basis. All these changes takes me longer to process. Ha!
So, I have to thank Ralene Burke for
forcing me encouraging me to join the fun. She is awesome like that. And I am very excited for what she and the other Ladies of Spec have planned for this upcoming year. Not only that I loved hearing from your, dear readers and fellow adventurers! Your excitement for the stories propels me forward. I am going into November with renewed efforts to tackle book three (still needs a name!!!). Pay no attention to the progress bar to the right. With these rewrites of the beginning, book three is taking shape, but soon, this second draft will be complete! I am hoping for a fall of 2017 release with another Tale of Nälu spring of 2017. We shall see!
In the meantime, Ladies of Spec has created a Reader’s Group. Another brainchild of the amazing Ralene Burke. She writes: “This group is for anyone who enjoys reading speculative fiction--particularly stories by Desiree Williams, J.L. Mbewe, Amy Brock McNew, or Ralene Burke. But they love to highlight books by many different spec authors, old and new. Join in for book discussions, games, book launch fun, parties/events, and more!”
If that sounds like your kind of group, drop by and invite yourself in!
If you weren’t able to make the party, the posts will still be up and you can peruse at your amusement.
Desiree Williams put together this awesome quiz where you can find out what character you would play in an adventure story. I got Loyal BFF. Take the quiz and let me know who you would be!
And Amy Brock McNew put together an amazing video introducing us. I couldn’t figure out how to share it on my blog. But if you’d like to learn a bit more about the other authors, hop on over to the event page and check it out. 🙂
Now I need to sleeeeeeeep. Ha! Hope you all have a great weekend!
