With a curse, she will build an army.
With the dagger, she will undo the last sacrifice.
But first the sorceress must find the secret keeper.

Torn from her homeland and thrust into a betrothal against her wishes, Ayianna learns her family has a deadly secret that now has her on the run. She joins forces with Kael, an embittered half-elf, and Saeed, an elderly High Guardian, to seek answers to her father’s death, the destruction of Dagmar, and the plains people’s bizarre behavior.

Ayianna discovers there is more at stake here than just her mother’s disappearance and her familial duty to her betrothed. The sorceress has cursed the plains people, and it is a race against time to release them before the sorceress resurrects an ancient evil.

“Which mythical creature would you like to meet….” I love all of your suggestions so my natural reaction would be YES and All of the above!! But I’ve always been partial to fairies so if I had to pick just one I would probably pick fairy. Thanks for the awesome giveaway and for your amazing books!

    • J.L. Mbewe

Hi Shelby! Thank you for your kind words! I appreciate them! I agree, it would be a tough pick! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Timothy Harris

Of the list of mythical creatures, I’d say elf… they seem to be the least dangerous. Thanks for the opportunity.

  3. Meghan Stith

I would choose a Mermaid. They’re beautiful and won’t try to harm you like some other mythical creatures could!

    • J.L. Mbewe

Hi Meghan! Probably by now, you could tell I LOVE mermaids, but you know what? I’ve got a world my creating that has a different sort of mermaids. I don’t think I would want to meet these. 😉 Thanks for sharing!

I just got Desert Rose and I look forward to reading it, and I’m really excited for this book tour.
If I could meet any fantasy creature, I think I’d want to meet an elf.

  5. Halita Wilson

I would totally love to win this because I have been wanting to read your books from time to time. I am always asking Authors I know whether they think that Dragons are good or bad characters and why.

I would love to meet a Dragon. I have always been interested in them ever since the age of the dinosaurs.

    • J.L. Mbewe

Hi Halita! Thanks for stopping by! If we are talking about dragons in fantasy, than I think they can be both! Now for real live dragons, I don’t think they would be either good or bad, but dangerous! Ha! I wonder if a person can “tame” a reptile? There is this really cool cryptozoologist & author who guest posted on my blog this past year about dragons. If you get a chance, check it out and let me know what you think. 🙂 You can find it here: Do you believe in dragons?

  6. Mandy W.

I would love to meet a fairy. Thank you for the blessing of your books and giveaways!

  7. Kathy O

I would love to meet a dragon or a shapeshifter that can change to a dragon. I think dragons are beautiful creatures and to fly with one would be fun. Thanks for the wonderful blurb and giveaway.

  8. Kessie Carroll

Yikes, all the mythical creatures I love would probably eat me if I met one. So I’d go with something small. Like a salamander. Or a pegasus. 🙂

  9. ~Angie~

I would love to see a dragon or any kind of shapeshifter!

  10. Cianna

I want to meet a dragon. I love dragons, I’m obsessed with dragons! Your dragons sound amazing, so that’s what I’d want.. merperson second, as they take care of the dragons!

    • J.L. Mbewe

That’s awesome Cianna! I can’t wait for you to explore the next project in the works. Dragons take center stage…almost. 😉 But we will get to ride one in the next book. 😉 Thanks for sharing!

  11. Diana Montgomery

Dragon is on the tippy top of my mythical creature wishlist. hehe. I could ride him and have him turn my enemies to ash and hug him and swueeze him and call him George. 😀
