Progress Report

Posted by on February 10, 2014

Time marches onThe past month and half, I’ve been busy reading, writing, and editing. Looking back, two feelings have emerged. Wow, where has the time gone? And it’s only February? Sometimes I’m thankful that time marches on without regard to emotional upheavals or project deadlines or what have you. It just keeps going whether we are on top of the world or getting run over. Although, I’d like it to slow down just a bit. Ha!

That said, I do have a progress report for y’all. Book two is coming along nicely. I have applied the edits, and I’m hoping it will be ready for beta readers by March and then off to the editor! The ending has been hard to work with, since I keep getting swept away in the story. But that’s a good thing, right?

I’ve also been working on another Tale of Nälu to share with you all. I’m so excited for you to meet this new character. She plays an important role in the Hidden Dagger trilogy, and even bigger role in future books I’ve planned out. We shall see!

I’ve got some cool things in the works. Hope to be able to share something more concrete with y’all very soon.

On a personal note: Still trying to figure out how to live life balanced between reality and dreams. This year I am setting aside time to do nothing. It is actually quite nerve-racking. I cannot not be doing something, so I intend to work on sketching or painting. I might post some pics on Facebook, Deviant Art, or here on the blog. I’ll need some accountability. Ha!

How about y’all? How do you relax and refuel?

Now I have this song in my head. I have quite the eclectic taste in music. 😉 Have a great week!

Time does seem to have a mind of its own. I’m still trying to figure out what happened to January! I too am trying to spend more time relaxing and enjoying life this year. I’m getting a little better at saying, “I’ve done enough for today” and then relax a bit with reading, TV or playing computer games.

Hello, Mrs. Mbewe! Good to hear from you. I am very excited to hear about book two, and perhaps future installments beyond the trilogy…? Do you plan on releasing the title for the second book soon? (Please?)

Hello Allison! Yes, we plan to release the name soon! As far as future installments, I hadn’t wanted to get too far ahead of myself, but I do have a rough draft/outline of a trilogy that is set several hundred years after Hidden Dagger Trilogy. AND I have rough draft/outline of a trilogy set a thousand some years before as well. Oh, I have so many awesome adventures to share with you all even beyond Nälu, I’m not sure what I’ll tackle next. But there is still some time to think about that. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

I love hearing from you!
