My Writing Space

Last week, I snapped this photo to share on Instagram.

My initial intent was to share that I am WORKING ON CURSE BOUND!!!

You know, like a behind-the-scenes shot.

Then I was like, this is boring. Nothing exciting or cool or fancy like some of the amazing photos I see on Instagram.

Then of course, one thought leads to another and out flows my heart. Today, I wanted to share it with you, in case you’ve not seen it yet.

This is my writing space. No fancy drinks, no snacks, no music. Just getting it done.

Sometimes we think we need to have all the elements right in our life for us to pursue our dreams, to step out in faith, but life has taught me otherwise. I used to think I needed trees, music, an office (I’m in my bedroom. 🤣), fancy drinks and snacks, a big block of hours to work, but I didn’t. They are nice, when you have them, but not necessary. Life has taught me that if I really wanted to write, I had to fight for it and do what I could with what I have. And even still, life can throw you a curve ball. And when it does, you have to ask yourself, how badly do I want this and am I willing to do what it takes to get it done?

Sometimes the curve ball shatters our dreams and all we had hoped for and worked for goes up in flames.

But the beautiful thing about dreams, they can be reborn. They might not look the same, but they will resonate deeper within us.

I hope this inspires you to dream and dream again. To pick yourself up once more and keep on keeping on.

If I took a picture of my writing space, it would just be a snapshot of my ipod. I carry it around and write when waiting for the kids to finish lunch, or when stirring a pot at the stove, or whatever. I think your writing space looks very nice. 🙂

Thanks! You amaze me. You’ve reach a level of efficiency that I have yet to aspire to. Ha! I’ve tried typing notes…just notes on my iphone, and I get frustrated and lose my train of thought because my thumbs can’t keep up. Although, it can be done. The whole “gotta do what you gotta do”, righ? And it would probably be quicker than jotting down stuff in a notebook. Ha! Thank you for stopping by!!
